Shinta Mani Angkor
Siem Reap, Cambodia
Shinta Mani is an upscale boutique hotel in the French Quarter of Siem Reap. It showcases 39 contemporary designed rooms and public spaces in a Khmer inspired design. It’s well located for anyone visiting the Angkor complex. Even more, the hotel has a deeply entrenched philosophy of giving back to the community.
This gorgeous resort property is ideal place for luxury travelers — or backpackers splurging during their time in Siem Reap — to travel responsibly. The rooms and resort grounds offer an oasis away from the bustle of downtown, and the hotel’s Shinta Mani Foundation ensures that hotel staff have been offered some of the best hospitality training in Cambodia.
From the first days Shinta Mani opened its doors in 2003, the facility offered a free-of-charge Hospitality Center to encourage under privileged youth in Cambodia to start a career in Hospitality. Operating as a social enterprise, this means that a percentage of your daily room rate will be contributed to the Shinta Mani Foundation to support these educational activities. To date, guests of Shinta Mani have sponsored over 900 piglets, 800 school supplies, 1,300 water wells, and 97 homes and have given medical care to over 3,900 students.
