Topas Ecolodge is now the only one of its kind in Vietnam. It has a perfect location – situated atop two cone formed hills, set deep in the spectacular Sapa valley of northern Vietnam.
Topas Ecolodge is based on sustainable principles to ensure that the lodge has a minimum impact on the surrounding environment. They employ local people and use local products and goods, in order to bring economic benefits to the local community as well as they have implemented a wastewater facility to avoid pollution of the local area.
Topas goes beyond the token donation here, or planting a couple of trees there. they try to produce real sustainable benefits.
They work closely with the local community, and listen to what they want from the lodge. Some locals are employed at the Ecolodge. Many have received education and training, and they support the local school.
It is a bit spendy but well worth it if you are looking for a unique experience, gorgeous scenery and a truly socially responsible business to support.
