Urari Cacao Tours and Homestays

Almirante, Bocas del Toro, Panamá

Urari is an organization promoting economic independence through active participation of the community in the development of rural community tourism, using natural attractions and traditional culture to improve the economy and the quality of life for the indigenous community.

Visitors are able to participate in a range of activities from visiting the organic farms, learning the process of making chocolate from local cacao plantations, or staying overnight in the Eco Cabanas made in traditional Ngöbe design.

GV’s founder visited this small community in 2013 with her family and counts this among her favorite cultural interactions. From ages 13 to 60, each person had a wonderful experience learning about the Ngöbe culture.

Use the Urari Website to review activities.

But it’s easiest to directly book using so you easily can reserve a place to stay.
