The Centro de Atención Integral para la Inclusión (CAII)works with families who live in situations of vulnerability by generating systematic inclusion processes. Founded at the beginning of 2014 by a group of professionals from social, business, and government sectors, the organization aimed to generate a truly inclusive solution to the poverty problem in Argentina.
Translated in English as the Center of Integral Attention for Social Inclusion, CAII is dedicated to the improvement of the quality of life of vulnerable families, through five basic dimensions (health, education, employability, home, and social protection) contemplating all stages of life. Their goal is to achieve social inclusion from an integral approach.
The organization works toward this mission through CAII Centers that operate through two methods: Family Strengthening and Community Strengthening.
Through family strengthening, CAII learns about the specific situation of each family and then provides opportunities for them to join in the inclusion process. CAII provides a social diagnosis, trained social workers dedicated to helping families, and training in health, education, home, and social protection topics.
Through Community Strengthening, CAII provides information about all of the programs offered in each area, creates more unified practices, and provides services that are currently canceled. CAII formalizes the area’s map of social services, manages and implements social programs, and provides tools to integrate social work.
