UPDATE: This Volunteer Opportunity is Full and Not Accepting Volunteers (2016): A Little 4 A Lot helps women and girls who have recently undergone surgical repair for obstetric fistulas return to school or receive vocational skills training.

General volunteers can help with vocational training and tutoring for the women transitioning after a fistula surgery. More adventurous, longer-term volunteers can work with outreach leaders in more remote areas of Kenya. Of particular note is that families with children are very welcome – there are opportunities for children and teens to volunteer and be involved.

The organization also needs physicians and medical professionals to volunteer in the obsteric fistuale clinic to assist/conduct medical procedures and see patients. The clinic is part of the Gynocare Fistula Center and their partner organization, One by One.

The volunteer coordinators can assist volunteers in finding lodging and choosing which area of the organization is a good fit for your volunteer skills.
