New Horizons is a private, non-profit organization associated with neither political nor religious activities. Their objective is to initiate and coordinate the support and help of national and foreign volunteers in different associations, organizations and communities which need help to carry out their activities. New Horizons helps with different projects within a range of fields, including: social work, cultural development, education, community work and small enterprises development.

New Horizons has ongoing volunteer projects in each of the four regions of Ecuador: Coast, Highlands, Jungle and Galápagos islands.

GV strongly recommends that volunteers working with children on this project commit to a minimum one month—longer stays support the better welfare and development of young children.
