Tshega Christian Missions was established by four individuals in 2004 and registered as a Non Profit Organization in Aug 2006. Situated in South Africa, Limpopo Province, Mopani District, Bolebedu South, Fobeni Village – the organization initially focused on vulnerable children but after applied research was done in 2009 – Tshega realized that a more holistic approach in service delivery was needed. Two programs were established to serve identified needs, the Education Program and the Outreach Program.
Guatemala City, Guatemala
Unidas Para Vivir Mejor (United for a Better Life) is a women’s artisan cooperative located in the community of La Esperanza, a former squatter settlement on the edge of Guatemala City. Volunteers will co-teach at an after-school program and help with the children, and there are some opportunities in the medical program.

VE has successfully integrated over 450 full-time volunteers from more than 35 countries into their network of 6 local children’s homes, community centers, schools and preschools in some of the most vulnerable areas of Santiago.

Vietnam Cat Welfare is an NGO based in Hoi An, central Vietnam. This organization is the primary cat shelter in the region. It houses over 60 rescue cats. The organization operates Jack’s Cat Cafe on the premises to help fund the work of not only improving the welfare of cats, but to also educate and increase the compassion towards cats and all animals throughout Vietnam.

The organization supports work in Laos and Cambodia and supports development in remote and vulnerable villages and focuses on local leadership development in an effort to bring about positive fundamental social change. The NGO focuses on Anti-Trafficking & Child Protection, Integrated Village Development (Education, Health & Food Security), and Land & Natural Resource Rights.
Village Science is an organization with a vision. It aims to bring quality science education to the students of Luang Prabang, Lao People’s Democratic Republic to help promote literacy and develop critical thinking. The group works with teachers and students in order to produce science texts and materials in the Lao language.

Volunteer Ladakh, operating in the Himalayas of Northern India, is a non-profit voluntarily run organization, which works to meet the educational and environmental, needs of Ladakh. Adventurous volunteers who seek to share their skills and compassion in this unique and remote region are greatly needed.
Volunteer Spirit is one of the more creative short-term volunteer opportunities in Thailand, the organization prepares monthly trips for volunteers and activities can range from month to month, but past projects have included: painting schools, building clay houses, and even crafting sock puppets and art with hill-tribe children.
Volunteers Peru is a small registered Non-Governmental Organisation based in the city of Arequipa in southern Peru. They are currently working on two projects. The first is a home for abandoned girls in Arequipa; the second is a primary and secondary school in the town of Tomepampa near Cotahuasi canyon. They are committed to assisting the children that we work with to fulfill their personal and educational needs, and to promoting cultural awareness and mutual understanding.
