Safisha Africa Welfare Foundation (SAWF) is a non-profit NGO established in 2008 and registered in 2010 in Nairobi, Kenya. The mandate of Safisha Africa Welfare Foundation (SAWF) is to enable vulnerable and poor children access to quality education, provide educational materials, provide educational facilities, offer feeding programs, advocate for the enrollment of all children as a right to education and provide a better environment for the less fortunate.

Village Science is an organization with a vision. It aims to bring quality science education to the students of Luang Prabang, Lao People’s Democratic Republic to help promote literacy and develop critical thinking. The group works with teachers and students in order to produce science texts and materials in the Lao language.

The Sangkheum Center for Children was established as a project with the main objective of preventing the increase of street children in Siem Reap. The main goal of the volunteer program is to develop the capacity of the Khmer staff in their direct work with the children.

We Women is a foundation that strives to achieve equality for various groups of people in the world. The foundation assists women, refugees, ethnic minorities, and disadvantaged groups with their questions, struggles and needs.

PDH aims to improve the lives of the impoverished and abandoned by offering social, medical, nutritional, and educational assistance to the following groups: social cases, HIV/AIDS patients, children made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS, and street children/deprived children. PDH grows maize, cassava and garden produce; PDH also keeps bees, fish, chickens, goats, sheep and snails.

Started in 2011, Cambolac produces and sells high quality souvenirs, creating jobs for local community in the context of booming tourism in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Cambolac provides employment to a range of vulnerable populations near Angkor’s Park, including hearing impaired young adults.

El Puente—The Bridge is an organization started by an American couple with the intent to help the indigenous people surrounding Puerto Viejo de Talamanca on the Caribbean shore in Costa Rica. These people, the Bribri people, live drastically under the poverty line. The organizations works directly with the locals on a range of projects; volunteers are able to provide help in a huge range of niche skills.

Sambhali Trust provides underprivileged Rajasthani women and girls with educational, vocational, and social skills to help them to become confident and financially independent. There are actually 11 different initiatives benefiting women & girls that fall under the “Sambhali Trust” umbrella. Most are based out of the city of Jodhpur in India, but two take place in the rural desert village of Setrawa. Key initiatives are empowerment centers, where women & girls come to learn English as well as learn to sew and embroider. The empowerment centers also offer different workshops such as drama and computer skills.

Reality Gives is working toward a world where underprivileged communities have equal access to opportunities and resources. The organization provides young people from underprivileged communities in India with high quality education and experiences to help them maximize their potential. The NGO is supported and funded by its sister company, a local tour operator—the Reality Gives programs work in areas where the social enterprise runs tour.

Association for India’s Development is a volunteer movement promoting sustainable, equitable and just development. AID supports grassroots organizations in India and initiates efforts in various interconnected spheres such as agriculture, energy, education, health , livelihoods, natural resources including land and water, women’s empowerment and social justice.
