Art Creation Foundation for Children is a nonprofit arts organization created to empower youth in need in Jacmel, Haiti. The organization teaches street children art so that they may have a future. The organization helps provide education, training, food, and medical help to impoverished children.
You will have to contact the organization directly if you’d like to see their current projects and identify if your skills are a good fit for their needs. Generally, ACFFC is looking for a long-term English-speaking volunteer to work with the students, as well as help in marketing and computers, as well as graphics design and other projects aimed for raising the organization’s awareness and support.
ACFFC has a very strong grassroots feel, they are just there for the children and family. ACFFC strongly values and supports the connections made between students and visitors in Jacmel. The organization believes these friendships formed with people around the world foster an invaluable sense of global community in their youth.
Volunteers working with children should plan on staying at least a month in the place. The organization may have shorter-term volunteer needs in marketing, computer, and graphics design projects.
Free to volunteer; the organization is looking for the right kind of volunteers who can boost specific areas of the program and organizational projects for those with specific skills.
