De La Gente Coffee works closely within the coffee farming communities in Guatemala. The company offers several tours that welcome visitors to local communities and open up a world of adventure, immersion, and exchange while creating economic opportunities by supplementing family income.

What is the Social Enterprise’s Key Mission?
De La Gente provides coffee farmers and local businesses with training and support that enable them to create profitable, marketable products, thereby allowing them to improve their quality of life and help their communities in an environmentally and economically sustainable way.
De La Gente specifically decided to confront issues and injustices within the coffee supply chain and related challenges that producers face. At that time, the organization incorporated more cooperatives on a larger scale, choosing to accompany and assist them in becoming sustainable and thriving coffee producers.
Today, De La Gente works in partnership with five coffee growing communities, eight cooperatives total, representing over 150 small-scale coffee producers, and channels nearly $350,000 each year to farming communities in sales alone. The organization has been recognized for the quality of its coffee, its transparent relationships with the cooperatives with which it partners, and the immersive opportunities that it offers within those communities. Interested individuals are invited to taste the success and experience the richness of coffee communities who are proud to say they are part of De La Gente.
