KOTO stands for Know One, Teach One and the restaurant in HCMC is part of the organization’s social enterprise network in Vietnam.
The multi-level restaurant at KOTO Van Mieu serves as professional platform for KOTO trainees to fine tune their skills in hospitality service and culinary arts while at the same time providing guests with a warm and charming venue to enjoy fantastic food and service.
KOTO’s social enterprise business model is a means to generate income to support the operational costs of KOTO as a whole to improve KOTO’s capacity to train more students.
Dining at KOTO Van Mieu

The KOTO Van Mieu menu offers a wide range of local and international dishes with everything from snacks and dips to signature main courses and the acclaimed selection of KOTO’s cakes and pastries for dessert. Lunch time reservations are advisable.
The Temple Bar located on the second level is the perfect meeting place for friends or business associates. With it’s full range of drinks and KOTO’s selection of cocktails and smoothies. The Temple Bar offers an alternative ambience in which to escape the hustle and bustle of Hanoi’s busy streets. The Temple Bar also has free WiFi.
The Graduate Gallery located on level three is a function and meeting room dedicated to past trainees of KOTO each of whom are now following successful career paths as a result of their training. The Graduate Gallery also serves as an inspiration to our current trainees showing them the way forward to a brighter future. The Graduate Gallery can cater for large dining groups 50 to 150 people for cocktail party occasions.
The Rooftop on level four is where you’ll find a beautiful terrace overlooking the Temple Gardens. Dining alfresco style for lunch and dinner along with breathtaking views make the climb to the top more than worth the effort. The terrace cocktail bar offers all the classics you’d expect as well as a range of special drinks created by the trainees. Rooftop can be booked exclusively for your private party and smaller functions.

Currently, KOTO Enterprise comprises restaurants, catering services, online bakery and cooking class. The idea is to create a self sustainable system, where KOTO can largely rely on its own resources and become less dependent on external funding.
KOTO is a pioneer in the social enterprise world in Vietnam and is willing to share its model in the firm belief that it can be applied elsewhere. The flagship restaurant, KOTO on Van Mieu, is located a stones throw away from one of Hanoi’s popular tourist destinations, The Temple of Literature.
