The All Women’s Action Society (AWAM) is an autonomous feminist group that is dedicated to helping women in Malaysia improve their lives. AWAM is a staunch advocate for the improvement of policies and legislation governing gender-related issues which includes sexual harassment, domestic violence, women’s rights and rape.
The organization provides free Legal Aid as well as Face-to-Face and Telephone Counseling.
Anybody interested in working toward equality and justice for people in Malaysia are welcome to volunteer and be a part of the organization.
Duration
Depends on the volunteer’s skill level and interests.
Fees
More like an internship, volunteers will work on business development and are therefor responsible for their own housing and food.
