The mission of Cambodian Living Arts is to facilitate the transformation of Cambodia through the arts. They work in collaboration with others to create an environment where Cambodian arts empower and transform individuals and communities. They encourage the growth of artists and the arts community by promoting awareness of the arts, and by advocating for the arts with cultural policy-makers and major institutions.
Cambodian Living Arts provides educational programming for underprivledged children to allow for them to learn about the traditional arts that were wiped out during the Khmer Rouge Genocide. CLA provides scholarships for children and employs older artists to perform for the community and for tourists.
The organization is looking to create value and understanding of what it means to be Cambodian and to create a sense of unity and shared culture. Volunteers are needed to help run the office and perform some of the higher level functions of marketing and running the organization.
