Kolkata Sanved uses Dance Movement Therapy for psychosocial rehabilitation and social transformation — the organization uses dance to empower and rehabilitate survivors of trafficking and violence. Volunteers are able to help run the organization, plan workshops, and participate in programs for women in these communities.
Dance MovementTherapy-for-Change model is unique since it is practiced in the developmental context. Named Sampoornata, (which means: fulfilment), Kolkata Sanved’s model was developed to heal and empower individuals from marginalized communities, including survivors of gender-based violence and at-risk children and youth.
The organization has a number of remote and online-based tasks if you’d like to donate your time from home in everything from grant writing to translation to workshop designing.
