Langtang Children Home and Disabled Care Center

Langtang Children’s Home is a fully non-profit organization dependent upon donations and the help of volunteers. The home cares for children who are orphaned, differently-abled and whose parents are unable to take care of them financially.

They welcome regular volunteers from all over the world and are able to provide accommodation and meals in return for a small contribution.

They are particularly interested in taking in volunteers with some experience in these kinds of therapies: Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy. However, they also accept volunteers who can help with the running of the children’s home, running the disabled children’s day care and helping to provide care & training to the dogs that live there.

Fees
In return for your kind help and support the organization provides accommodation in the home for a nominal fee. The room is on a shared basis (with other volunteers if there are any) and includes traditional Nepali meals 4 x a day (breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, and dinner), hot drinks and clean filtered drinking water. They also use solar energy for the home to be eco-friendly. There is also hot water available and WIFI. Volunteers are also welcome to stay at a nearby guesthouse and volunteer at the home.
