Lubasi Home provides residential care for orphans and vulnerable children who have no family to look after them. Most of them have been orphaned as a result of the AIDS pandemic, which affects about 30% of adults in Livingstone and the Home aims to care for them until they are able to sustain themselves or are taken into families.
Long-term volunteers are welcomed and encouraged to help tutor the children and work with students when they are not in school.
Duration
Volunteers are welcome by arrangement in advance. Volunteers are preferred for at least six months. Short term visits for families and volunteers can be arranged though!
