Tortugas Fundación Yepez

Tortugas Fundación Yepez A.C. is a non-profit organization that has been protecting sea turtles in Veracruz, Mexico for 46 years. The organization is small and family run and needs volunteers to help protect the endangered turtles and implement eco-projects in the region.

Sea Turtles are endangered due to a variety of reasons, from death through fishing nets to pollution, the consumption of their eggs, as well as increased amounts of predators. The foundation works to conserve and protect them.

Most volunteers participate in hands-on work on the beach, while also helping in areas such as office administration, reforestation projects, community projects, environmental education and recycling programs.

Volunteers who have read through the organization’s website are encouraged to contact with any questions and to organize and schedule volunteering with the Foundation; email info@tortugasfundacionyepez.com
