Traveller Not Tourist is an organization dedicated to using tourism to support the local communities. By using both tours and volunteers, the organization aims to give Peruvians the chance to lift themselves out of poverty and believe in the chance of a better world, and then create it. This grassroots, supportive organization seeks volunteers for meaningful volunteer work with disadvantaged children.
Optional extras include Spanish Lessons, Accommodation and Tours (with 50% of the profits going straight to the projects we work with)
Placements include a School, Kindergarten, and Children’s Home. Volunteers are needed in the following areas:
- Teaching
- Childcare
- General help
And families are welcome to volunteer together on many of the organization’s projects.
