Operated by the STREETS International trainees, this coffee shop and cafe serves tasty food and delicious coffee alongside a strong underlying social mission. STREETS runs its nearby restaurant and this coffee shop as social enterprises supporting the organization’s hospitality and culinary training program for street kids and disadvantaged youth in Southeast Asia.
The coffee shop is an ideal stop for any travelers needing a solid cappuccino, or a Western sandwich or snack. Time your visit right and you just might also visit when the bakery has fun seasonal treats.
What Type of Food Does 9 Grains Bakery & Café Serve?
The STREETS restaurant near Hoi An Ancient Town serves fancier fare, while 9 Grains is an entirely different experience. Relax and enjoy the calm, clean, and air conditioned atmosphere while you sip coffees and smoothies.
The bakery portion of the cafe is small, but it serves a mean croissant (and the GV is choosy when it comes to croissants!) and a variety of small sandwiches and bites to eat. All of the various snacks receive rave consistently reviews as the breads and meals are prepared with a mind toward Western travelers while infusing things with a bit of Vietnamese flare. (They’ve announced fun things like hot cross buns and holiday mince pies, for example, as special one-off treats available at the bakery.)
Visit this Vietnamese social enterprise en route to the beach if you’re biking over from Ancient Town. Expect mid-range prices and a great way to refuel while supporting a worthy cause!
